That is her art and I just thought it was so funny because it describes me perfectly in the morning. I am not copying her artwork, she is just pure genius so I had to use it. Christmas Choir Concert

Today is so busy. I have a soccer game against El Hambro (I think that is the name of the school...) and then right after that is my choir concert. You know what is also busy? This whole week! I have this huge Math project due on Friday and it is half of my final grade. Also, in this class I have to create a slideshow demonstrating what I have learned this whole semester. I have learned a lot but I cannot think of any ideas for Photoshop! I have NOTHING done and I feel like I am failing every one of my classes!

Earliest Memory

I'm not sure what my earliest memory is.. I have a really good memory of pretty random things. Like, there isn't a memory where it all starts. I can remember things from when I was really little but I don't think it starts at any particular age.

Pets

I have four pets. I have one dog (Copper), two cats (Satin & Frisco), and a bird (Blush). I wish I had one more dog. I absolutely love dogs! They are so fun to have around the house and they're adorable! Another thing I really like about them is that they are so loyal. They are always happy to see you even when you're in the worst of moods. Personally, I think the best breed of dogs in Golden Retrievers. They are so peaceful and good with kids. Copper is a Golden and he is such a good dog. I love my cats too, but I'm more of a dog person... but with my pets I love them all the same. I guess my bird is okay but he makes such a mess in my room! They take a lot of responsibilty and at times I feel like I don't do a good enough of a job.. but he drives me NUTS sometimes.

TED TALK 5

2) What was it about? The products that are made out of pig.

3) Did the talk persuade you to change the way you think? Why or why not? I suppose it did.. in certain degrees. It made me realize that there are probably many things in this world that I have no clue in which they are created from! Also, that there are many ways that a pig can be used in this world, but it is very sad. I don't like the way we treat our animals used in the farming departments. They provide so much for us and we treat them cruelly! They are living things and we should treat them they way we treat ourselves. With royalty.

Thanksgiving Part II

This Thanksgiving was really fun but really different. Our group was so small because my two sisters and cousin are gone. Although, my brother's best friend Duncan came along so that was really fun! Our church plays football Thanksgiving morning and we have doughnuts and juice in the morning. Again, this year wasn't as fun because my sister's and cousin weren't there. We left to my Nana's around 12 and got there around 1245. We all took a nap because we were exausted and my Nana started cooking for the big dinner. At like 130 Me, Duncan, and Jarom went long boarding. I am addicted! It is so much fun. I love the feeling of wind blowing through my hair, and it almost feels like you're flying. I'm starting to get the hang of it the more and more I ride so that's cool. Since my sister's are in China we made them a video of what we did so they didn't miss out on all the fun. My mom recorded us doing some cool hills on our longboards The video turned out awesome! The weekend went really fast, and made me anxious for winter break!

Thanksgiving Eve

The title just makes me laugh! Me and my dad for every minor holiday (Thanksgiving isn't but just keep reading..) are always like : " It's Easter Eve!" or "It's Saint Patrick's Day Eve!" He texted me that this morning while I was at school and it seriously made my day. I love my dad, he is so funny.
Thanksgiving is weird this year! We usually have all six of us (Mom, Dad, Courtney, Maddi, Jarom, and me), our favorite cousin Marcie, Nana and Papa, and my Gigi. Since my two sisters are in China and my cousin is in Korea, we are kind of slacking this year! It's still going to be fun but I really miss everybody. And, it is usually at our house but instead we are going to my Nana's and we are having Christmas Eve here at our house. I don't really care, just as long as I'm stuffed to the extreme and I'm with my family it's all good. My brother's best friend Duncan is celebrating this year with us because he can't miss work and his parents are going out of town. So this weekend should be really fun!
Jarom and Duncan both got jobs at Hollister. Jarom thinks he is so cool now.. just kidding. But he is cool! Who just strolls in and gets a job on the spot? My brother. He gets everything half off now, which is nice but that place is still expensive. Also, they can only wear Hollister clothes. Dumb?  Yeah.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. 

I'm thankful for...

In reality I'm thankful for just about everything. There are so many things that I'm so lucky to have, and some people would die to have. But I'm most thankful for my family and the gospel. I wouldn't be the same person if they weren't in my life. I love my life with them and I can't get any better.

Longboard !

So I've wanted a long board ever since seventh grade. I went and visited my sister in college and her friend had a long board and my sister taught me had to ride and I was automatically in love. I was saving up for one for a really long time but it was Christmas time and I needed to get everybody a gift. Soo. That was a bummer, but for my birthday my mom said she was going to get me a longboard (because I wanted one soooo bad)and it just came in yesterday! I am so excited and I love it! I cannot wait till I can ride all over town.

Thanksgiving

The best part of thanksgiving is the food! Everybody knows that... But I seriously love everything about Thanksgiving. I love being with my family. We can be doing anything and we always have a blast. Black Friday is pretty cool too because there is always really awesome sales. Our church holds a little "Turkey Bowl" and we all go play football Thursday morning. This year isn't going to be as fun though because my two sisters and favorite cousin aren't going to be here. I miss them all so much and I can't wait till they come back!

What would you do with a million dollars?

If I had one million dollars I would first pay for college, even though I'm still in college... I'd probably just put all of it in savings. Or hide it so the bank couldn't screw me over. Actually, I'm not really sure because it will never happen

Slowest Week Ever..

Today is pajama day! Yayy! This week I've been waking up at 7:00am EVERY SINGLE MORNING and it has been terrible so I'm lucky that it is spirit week so I don't have to worry about looking decent... This week has been fun but it seems like it is going SO SLOW, it needs to hurry because I am so excited for this weekend! On Thursday night I'm seeing the midnight premiere of Breaking Dawn with some friends and then Friday through Saturday my church is having a whole weekend dedicated to the youth.

31-derful Years of Deer Valley

This week we are celebrating 31 years OF Deer Valley so we are having a spirit week and an assembly on Friday. Monday was 80s Day because that was decade we were in when the school first opened. Today is 90s day but technically it is Little Kid day because we were little kids when the school was being run during the 90s. Tomorrow is 2000s Lazy Generation, pajama and/or scrub day. Thursday is Career Day, and Friday is Blue Out Day. I love spirit week.. don't know what I'm doing Thursday though.

Teacher Letter

I didn't mind writing the letter.. I guess it was okay, I realized a lot of the learning theories that I like or don't like. My teachers are really awesome this year so I am really grateful for my schedule, some of the teachers my friends have don't sound the best so I'm happy with what I got.

Dear Teacher(s)...

 There are several ways that a student can learn but I usually like to stick with one or two ways. Sometimes if I see too many ways I end messing myself up, or think I'm doing something wrong.
 Some of the main ways I respond to teaching is the excitement to learn, or sometimes frustration. At times I get really annoyed when I don't fully understand something... I think, why don't I understand this? Why? Although I've learned that when you try something new you aren't going to rock the first time, you got to go out there and get it. Anything is achievable through hard work.
 Tests are sometimes really difficult for me. Especially math. On the review or in the homework I'm doing great, then when it comes to the test my mind is blown. For language arts and socials studies, I do great! I have great memory and those are my two favorite subjects so things click easily in my mind. Science is a hit or miss for me. Most of the time I understand the material, but sometimes I am clueless.
 I honestly don't mind homework. What I hate is when it is piled on you like crazy. I tend to get stressed very easily when I get overwhelmed. I want teachers to consider all the other classes were taking along with theirs. I'm not saying some teachers don't, but some are really annoying and only think about them. I hate that... you're not the only important subject in the world!
 Education is pretty important in my family. My dad is my role model and I'm almost positive he's the smartest person in the world (kidding.. but he's pretty smart), so he gets to help me out with all of the harder subjects. Math, Science, and writing papers in Language Arts. I am so grateful I have someone to help me out when I'm struggling and loosing every ounce of hope that I'm smart. My brother is really smart too! He helps me out a lot. All I can say is that I have a great environment out of school that encourages me to do my best.
 Things that make learning fun and interesting are discussions. I love public speaking and I like hearing what the teachers have to say. They know their facts when it comes to their subject, so I want to hear it. Also, it gives students the chance to speak up without feeling like there are making anybody slow their pace to just be respectful and listen to them. There really isn't a learning that I completely dislike. The days I fall asleep or I am really not into it is when I'm just having a bad day. Anything new and creative sounds cool to me, teachers should try new things to keep things fun!
 Thanks for teaching and keep up the great work.

Optimistic

Something I like about myself is I usually am a positive person. I try to see the best of things even when things are really hard or difficult. Of course there are plenty of time where I really am grouchy but majority of the time I try to stay as happy as possible.

Exercise 1

Ways to use a paperclip.
Hold papers together, earrings, braceletts, magnetic pick-up thing, if you straighten it out you can use it to poke a small hole open, necklaces, use them for creating the alphabet, get into small areas, weigh something small, to write a straight line, make a GIANT paperclip, use it to poke somebody, and straighten it out and use it to make s'mores.

Ken Robinson Talk

The main points of Ken Robinson's talk on the development of education is pretty self explanatory. It was talking about education then and now. He was saying how we are trying to make all of our children learn the same way and they are loosing their individuality. He was also saything that we overthinking just about everything. For example, how we think kids who can't always focus automatically have ADHD, and that they should get medical attention right away.

I thought the GIF prject was pretty cool, although it was kinda hard. I think you can do a lot of things with photoshop, but I don't get how! All the tools are so confusing and I hate working with it majority of the time.

Good Monday... for once.

Today has actually been a pretty good day! ... So far. I was ready on time, I packed a lunch, and I don't look all that bad! The weather is beautiful today. Although, I am a little cold. I only wore a tank top under my sweat shirt and that was a stupid idea because it is cold outside! I'm not complaining though because we never get weather like this.

State

Deer Valley Football is going to state this year! This is great news because our team has never been good, and this year we have gone practically undefeated. Also, it's a home game so I'm pumped!
Tomorrow is the state meet for cross country and my two friends Erin & Miranda made it to state. They are going to do awesome. Me and some friends from the team are going to the meet to support our girls. I'm excited to see how they do! This is Erin's senior year so I know she is gonna rock! Good luck to my girls.

JV or Varsity?

Today is the day where we find out if we make JV or Varsity for the soccer team. I know for a fact that I will not be making Varsity, but I'm excited to see who makes the JV team so I can start building a relationship with my team! Seriously, I am so excited for this season. I think it is gonna be blast.

Soccer Tryouts

Today soccer tryouts are supposed to be really hard. Yes, I'm in shape but soccer is a different type of running then cross country. Soccer is a lot of sprinting, cross country is still really fast but not as fast, and it's long distances. Oh well, I'm just going to work my hardest! I would love to make varsity but I know it won't happen. I'm just not good enough. Yet.

Imagine- The Beatles

If I could change one thing in the world it would be how little of peace we have. I just wish everybody could get a long. People wouldn't hate each other for having different thoughts, we wouldn't fight over land, we could share all the supplies needed for life, etc, etc. The list goes on and on! All war does is continue to make countries and governments bitter with each other, and kill so many people! Nobody deserves to die in that horrible way. I just wish we could all love each other.

TED Talk

The video I watched was about the impact nonviolence has on our world. Also, that nonviolent leaders are losing hope that they are not making enough of a difference because they get no attention from the media. It's proven that when someone or something gets attention they realize what they can get. This video great. I love hearing about nonviolent resistense because it is a lot better than hearing about all the violence and war. Julia Bacha is right, they aren't getting enough attention because I don't hear about too often. You can watch this video at this link.

Unlimited Money...

If I had a choice between living forever and having an endless amount of money I would probably choose an endless amount of money. There is a time for everybody to die and I don't think you should defy the laws of nature... it's just too weird. Also, it would be horrible seeing all your loved ones die. If you live a normal life people will die before you, but at least all your loved ones won't die and you just sit there and watch.

Sectionals & State

Tomorrow is sectionals! If we do well enough we make it to State. I want our team to do good, but I really just want to be done with cross country! So happy this is almost done. I kind of feel like a downer on the team, but oh well. Although, no one on our team wants to go to state. It's kind of sad, ha ha.

Parental Schedule

Since I am (used to be) always late for school and never have a lunch packed by 7:20am my mom and dad are making me go to bed every single night at 9:00pm and wake up at 5:45am. Let me say, I don't mind! I love sleeping. Why I was staying up so late before was because I had homework and I would always get distracted and sooner or later, it was already 10:00! Although, I hate being under their rule! They have me on this freaking schedule now. I have to get ready with the clothes I'm wearing to school, so right at 7:20am I can leave no matter what I have done. I have to eat breakfast and make my lunch right when I wake up. It gets so annoying!! I've only been doing this since Monday and I hate hearing my mom tell me what to do. ha ha. I can say, I've had so much more energy and haven't been as grouchy lately. Although, it has been forcing me to do my homework right after school. It's nice, but I hate homework! Oh, my mom changed my Facebook password so I can't get on right after school, and my texting is off. YAY

Freshman Rep.

Today me and my friend ran for Freshman Represenative for choir. I really want to make it, but my world isn't going to end if I didn't win. All I really want is to get into Skyhawk Singers. I think my friend may have won because she is really into choir. That is her main thing. I love choir so much but I have other things too. Also, in middle school she was known as the best singer. She is a great singer! I just hate how no one thinks I'm capable of being good too. Everyone just thinks I'm her follow up. No, I have talent too! It really gets me mad and sad too. I'm never good enough for anybody 
One thing I learned today, I hate cocky people. They are so frustrating.

Ughhh

I hate Monday's. They are always the hardest mornings to wake up on, and are always so slow. I have a really bad head ache today and I just feel like my head is pounding. All I want to do is go home and sleep. All summed up as, do nothing. Which you can't do at school. Also, at cross country practice today we do long distance and everyone is so much faster than me so I have nobody to run with. Last Wednesday was JV's last practice and I miss all my JV guys! They were my running buddies and now I have no one to run with. I love varsity team but I never can keep up with them. I'm the only freshman girl and every girl has had at least one year of doing cross country so they are used to everything, and they are really good. Just a couple more days until cross country is over, I'm trying to make the best of it.

Three Muskeeters

Three Muskeeters comes out today! I am so excited! Me and my friend Grace absolutely love Logan Lerman and we have been waiting for this movie to come out ever since the summer after 7th grade year. He also stars in it, so we are super happy. How our obsession started is we watched this one movie called Percy Jackson and the Olympians and we loved it. He starred in that too so we looked up what other movies he was in. We now own every movie he is in. After school we are seeing the movie and then we are having a movie marathon. So I am happy today is half day because I am so pumped. 

Half Days

So my cross country meet yesterday didn't go super well. I stayed with Erin and Miranda for the first mile. The course is really hard. It has so many hills, so everybody is usually off- times wise. I am sick so that did not make it very fun either. Also, I did not hydrate enough. I never learn my lesson! I always get sick from not drinking enough water and then I never drink water. Not today though! I am going to drink a lot of water because we have a really hard workout today. Fun.
Today is a half day. YAYY! We have one tomorrow too. I love half days. I'm excited for this day to be over because I get to hang out with my best friends! I haven't hung out with them in forever and I miss them a lot. So, I'm a happy girl today.

Pre-Sectionals XC Meet

Today is our pre-sectionals meet at the landslide, old dump on Happy Valley. My dad said I'm capable of running with the two fastest girls on the team, and I am really going to try to run with them today. Cross country is almost over, I am almost positive my last meet is sectionals next Saturday. I'm not going to lie, I'm excited for cross country to be over. I really want to start soccer already. I wanna try something new.

Regionals

Today is a pretty chill day.. nothing is really going on. I am excited though, for choir there is a thing called regionals. You have to try out and sing a solo. Today I got my song, and I love it! I can't wait to actually start practing it. I also have piano and cross country. Blehhh

Doug Conley Invite

This weekend I had another cross country invite. It was the Doug Conley invitational, which is a pretty big deal. Let me tell you, the course was terrible! There were so many hills and I did not get a very good time. I feel like I work hard every practice and my times aren't getting any better. Although, I got a really cool shirt there.. It's pink, yellow, and orange tie dye. I love it. 

Graphic Design Principles

proximity- related items that should grouped together.

alignment- things shouldn't be abruptly placed. Anything on the page should somehow be connected.

repetition- repeating alike fonts, icons, color, etc.

contrast- if two items are not the same make them extremely
different, this will give interest to your page.

balance- evenly balanced items on your page. Nothing overpowering another.

white space- use white space to prevent from cramping and clutter.

the golden rectangle- the perfect rectangle. 3x5 or 5x3

elements of design- the building blocks of all designs; lines | shapes | mass | texture | color.

line- a form with width and length but no depth. give certain suggesting motion qualities.

emphasis- giving something dominance to draw attention to that -certain item.

rhythm- repetition of visual movement of the elements (color, shape line, value, form, shape, space, and texture). Movement and rhythm work together to keep things exciting.

variety- contrast to harmony and unity. Uses differences in object to show CONTRAST.

unity- where the whole composition works together. Consistent theme to the piece.

shape- space inside lines creating a shape or object.

forms- describe volume and mass.

texture- surface quality given by the paintbrush.

proportion- the relationship between the relative size of objects on the picture.

perspective- arrangement of objects that are two dimensional making them look real.

pattern- random repetition to enhance surfaces.

harmony- pulls the pieces of a visual image together. It can be achieved through repetition and rhythm.

gestalt- the entire piece is more important than any of it's elements.

Success

The defintion of success is accomplishing something you've worked hard for. Also, being proud of yourself. You haven't accomplished anything if you've done it grudgingly. You can't win at everything so you have to remember that, even coming in dead last at a race is still finishing something!

Language Arts

My favorite school subject is Language Arts. I absolutely love to read and go into deep thought about messages behind the story. I'm not a huge fan of the writing and essays but I can work with them. All of the teachers I've had for Language Arts were and are really awesome so that makes the subject more fun and easier to like. The teacher I have right now is legit, and I love her and her class!

Home Meet

Today is our cross country home meet! I really don't want to run today. Yesterday's work out was so hard. We did a 5 mile tempo. Also, I was up till 11:40pm doing my Language Arts project. I woke up so tired this morning, I did not want to come to school today, but I had to come because my project is due and my cross country meet is today! Yeah, and my mom would never let me skip because I am tired... In my dreams!   

Winter Time

It is finally Friday! This morning was terrible, I went to bed at 11 last night and I had to get up at 5:45. I am so tired. I have another cross country meet tomorrow morning... UGH! haha, I don't think there will be on weekend where I will get to sleep in. Well at least until this season is over. Not going to lie, I kind of want it to end soon! I am so excited for soccer to start and I just want to get going! My friend Kendyl might do it so it will be really fun with all my friends doing it. Also, if there is soccer, there is winter! I am so excited for winter because that means Thanksgiving and Christmas. My sisters come home from China on the 19th of December. I miss them so much and I am anxious for them to come home.

Death.

Death. Most commonly feared word. I don't know what I think of death. It's bittersweet. You're off this Earth to better places, but you don't get to see your loved ones still here on Earth till they pass too. It's devasting while exciting. If I were to die tomorrow I would want people to remember me just as another girl in this world. That I tried to postively impact people's lives, I loved my family with all my heart, and my friends. And that I can't wait to be lifted up into better places, that I wouldn't want people to be too upset. That I knew I was meant to die at that time for a reason.

Apollo Cross Country Meet

Today we have a cross country meet.. eh. I don't particularly like cross country meets.I enjoy the bus rides, and hanging out with my team but I can say I don't really like to race! I mean, it feels good when I finish. I can say I accomplished something but I hate the feeling of being nervous. I don't get too nervous but it usually happens right before the race so at least it isn't too bad. It used to be really bad last year  but I've learned that I practice hard and if I work hard during the race I can do my best. And that is really all I can do. Is to give it my best effort. Today is a good day! Very nice weather.. It would be AWESOME if it started raining during our race. It would be a change of experience (for once... it is usually so hot)! Kinda wishing I would've worn some jeans instead of shorts though because it is kind of chilly! I looked at the weather and it said it was going to be sunny... Whatever!

Ted Talk #3

This video was about spreading the "I Can" bug throughout India. Kiran Bir Sethi discussed how teaching children is much more successful and life changing if it involves the real world. Also, that children should take charge! I completely agree! I thought this video was great. It was really cool seeing kids doing great humane things for their country. You learn more when you realize what you really can do, not just the teacher telling you what to write down in your notes. Great video! 

I love RAIN

It is a beautiful day today! It is overcast and windy, I think it might rain! I absolutely love the rain. I love sitting in my hammock and reading on my porch. We don't get it a lot, so it is always a huge celebration when it rains! YAYAY! Even if it doesn't rain, I am enjoying the nice weather while it lasts. Today has been pretty good, my final draft on date rape is due today in language arts. I hope I get a good grade on it, it has been stressing me out like none other! I am just happy it is finally out of the way.

Christmas Time!

My favorite holiday would be Christmas! I love the nice weather, the Christmas decorations, and giving gifts. Christmas music is the best, and I just love everything about it! I actually just love all the holidays from Halloween on to New Years. I love Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and having a long weekend with the family. I just love the fall and winter!

Impact on my life

Besides my family, the person who has had the biggest impact on my life is probably my church leaders. No one is particular, but they all have such great messages and meanings behind every lesson they teach at Sunday school. They make me realize the greater things in life and learn wisdom for everyday life. They may not know, but they are such great examples to me. They all have wonderful talents that make me want to improve myself.

Variety of President Elections

Do you think our country would elect an "ugly" person as president... I actually don't think so! Our country is so focused on the outer look on life. We are so focused on how we are representing our country, only on the looks part. We should care how we represent our country, but to a certain extent. If someone ran for president and they great and had all good intentions for our country and they weren't the best looking I'm not quite sure if we would elect them... Also, everyone has their own defintion of "ugly". I think no one is ugly and everyone is special. If someone ran for president who wasn't perfect (like everyone else) in looks but had great plans for our country I would vote for them.

Tempo Pace Cross Country Meet

Today is a cross country meet! Although, we are not running it like a real meet because we have a huge meet on Friday and our coach doesn't want us too worn out. So we are pretty much just running this meet like a tempo workout. I hope I can stay on pace, and maybe improve my time! Apparently I ran a minute slower than my first meet last Wednesday. GREAT! After a week I still didn't improve and I ran slower. So I am going to run on pace today. I really should get a watch so I can keep track of my time during the race. I need to get on that... I think this meet is far away so we get to have a long bus ride! I think they are really fun just hanging out with the team, so in a way I am kind of excited for later today.

Tuesday's...

Monday's are always off for me, it's always hard coming back after the weekend! Today is Tuesday... yesterday's practice was exausting. We ran 7 miles and I ran it harder than I usually do so when I got home I passed out. Nothing much is happening today, just cross country, school, and homework. Nothing new! So far today has been a good day, I hope nothing makes it bad.

Homecoming

This weekend was pretty good! Friday was seriously so fun! We didn't one thing at school and we just got to mess around. The school assembly was really cool, and cross country got to be in it. We had practice right after school and we got to play ultimate frisbee! It was so fun, and I got a really bad sunburn... That night I went to the football game and DV did great! We won, and we had a lot of great plays. Saturday night was homecoming, and it was fun. I don't think I will go next year or the years after, but I had fun. Nothing I wasn't expecting though.. it wasn't life changing. I'm not being a downer, because I for sure had a lot of fun! Monday's aren't the best..

TED Talk

I watched the video "Are we born to run?" by Christopher McDougall on TED. TED is a website where people can freely discuss topics on the web. My video was about the mysteries of running, how it started, and why we do it. And that is where the title comes in, are we born to run? Is that why we have always done it? McDougall discusses the unchanged Mexican tribe called the Tarahumara who use running as the tool to survival. As said, they are unchanged. They have been doing the same thing ever since the Stone Age. If they were running on barefeet for over 100 miles, then "can't" we? He thinks we should not focus on the modern thinking of running. If humans can do it before then so can we. People in the old days were not having constant feet, and other leg/ running injuries. I thought this was a great video! Since I like to run also, I could enjoy it and relate to it. He made a lot of great points! If someone has done it, then so can we! It got me pumped for cross country meet today. haha. I hope all goes well.. Go SkyHawks!

School Spirit

I think dressing up for school spirit is fun, and it does show you have school spirit. If you like the school and the activities it sponsors then you are going to particapate! It is wuite obvisious... if you hate the school (I hope no one feels that way)then you aren't going to show school pride by dressing up! I always do it because I like having the excuse for dressing stupid and preparing outfits with friends.

Spirit Week!

This week is spirit week! And today is cave man/cave woman day. I am doing all the days!
Monday- Super Hero Day (I was Superman)
Tuesday-Flintstone Day (I am Pebbles)
Wednesday- PowerRanger Class Color Day (Freshaman are green.. me and some friends made shirts!)
Thursday- Mulitpilicity Day (Girls in my church are gonna wear our camp shirts)
Friday- BLUE OUT DAY!
I am so excited for homecoming on Saturday, and I don't have my dress yet.. I probably should get on that! My cross country meet is tomorrow... go skyhawks!

Thee Weekend.

This weekend was pretty good! Friday was super fun. Cross country was awesome because our coaches weren't there so we all were going crazy and doing our own thing! :) Then I went to football game and a lot of my friends were there so it was a blast! On Saturday morning I had cross country-as usual. 6am. ergghhh- and it actually went pretty well. We worked on speed and I was so proud of myself, I improved my time everytime I did 400x. Let's just say I was happy with the practice.. my meet is on Wednesday. Hopefully it will go well!

Red Robin. YUMMM!

My favorite place to eat is probably Red Robin! Red Robin freaking rocks. Their fries are fantastic, and their ranch is delicious! I also am a huge fan of burgers and sandwiches and that is what they are mainly known for. I am an 100% American girl. I am always down for a milkshake and a good burger. Give me that, and I'm good.

Tempo Miles!

Yesterday was just a normal day. Nothing really stuck out to make it special or suck really bad. Although, I did have some homework I should've done and I didn't! And I need to make up some compound sentences for Ms. Dimiao's class.. I did so bad on them. I got 4/10. I was like really?! I thought I did okay, guess not! Also, cross country practices on Wednesday are my least favorite. We usually do tempo mileage. A tempo is where you have to run a mile in a given amount of time. Me, Jacob, Darren, and Josiah had to run 8:30 for every mile. We had two miles, took a five minute break and then ran two more. It actually wasn't too bad. I have learned it is much easier to run with somebody. You don't have to focus on setting a pace. You can just run with them! I love Thursday and Friday practices because they are recovery days. YAYYY :)

My plans after high school.

I definitely have plans after I finish high school. I want to go to college. I want to go to EAC (Eastern Arizona College) for my first two years and go to BYU Hawaii to graduate. Things I may want to major in are in weather (meteorology, right?) or become a dentist or an orthodontist. I think it would be awesome to be a storm chaser! I think weather is so cool, and I've always wanted to be in a tornado. Also, after high school I wanna have a family and be married. It doesn't matter to me when though, whenever I meet the right guy.

Miracle Monday!

Today is a journal entry... yesterday was just a usual Monday. Everything went surpirsingly well, and luckily I didn't have any homework! Also, I did so well on my test that I didn't have to review with the rest of the class and retake it. So therefore I recieve extra credit :) yayyy. But I thought I needed to post about this, the lunch lines are terrible! I hate how I have to wait in the line for more than half of my lunch period and then I have only 5 minutes to eat. It really bothers me! So I am starting to bring my lunch now.. Yesterday we ran 7 miles at practice! The weather was so nice, I was so happy!

Adobe Highschool cross country meet...

This Saturday was my first cross country meet! It was an invitational so there were so many people there. Cross country has been all over the place for me because it is so different from middle school. The intensity has increased by like a million! What we ran for the race last year is doubled this year. Instead of running 1.5 miles we are running 3. The meet was really fun and our team did awesome! Seriously  all of our guys did amazing at the end of the race. Everyone at least past one or two people within the last 100 meters. I am excited for how this season will go.

Friday Friday.

Today is Friday! I swear, I have like a million tests today. I have one in this class, Biology (which is next hour...), and in Language Arts. I am doing nothing tonight, because I have to go to bed early for my first cross country meet tomorrow! I am kinda nervous, but I know it is the first meet so I know it isn't that big of deal if I do really well. Since it is the beginning of the season you are not expected to get your best time. What sucks though is since we only have three girls in the meet we don't score. So we are pretty just running for a time. DV needs more cross country girls! I'll probably blog about my meet tomorrow, so till then...

Adobe Photoshop

These are my first tries on Adobe Photoshop... I thought it was going to be very simple. MOST FRUSTRATING SOFTWARE EVER! But it is very cool.

The most important thing in my life...

The most important thing in my life besides my family is my gospel/religion. I really can't imagine my life without it. I have been raised in the religion LDS since I was first born, and I know I would be a different person if I didn't have it. I don't fully understand everything and somethings are a complete mystery, but with faith I know I can accomplish anything.    

To Vote or Not Vote...

When I turn 18 I am totally going to vote! I am all about supporting our country. You may not be able to make a complete difference, but every vote counts. Also, if you want something to happen then you have to vote for or against it. I hate when people complain about certain laws or just our government in general. Oh really, you don't like it here? Then vote or move to a different country. Problem solved.

Absent

I have been absent for two days. I was gone Thursday and Friday. I probably have so much work to make up. I am not too excited for that. I can say right now I am never going to miss two days of school! It's like a new world, crazy how things can change in two days.

Three day weekends are the best. I love being able to stay up late and do what I like on Sunday nights. But what sucked is I had practice at six in the morning on Monday. So I didn't get to sleep in... which was a bummer. But I was able to take a nap which makes it all good! 

Journal Entry

Well today is a journal entry, and I don't really know what to write about... Nothing really interesting or spectacular happened yesterday. But cross country was pretty hard, we ran three 400 meters up hill, and four 200 meters. And my sore throat was not helping when I was breathing hard, I thought I was gonna die! It was so dry, and felt like it was closing.. But I survived!

Today in Language Arts we are doing a debate on cloning. My group is CON (against cloning), and I think we are gonna do good! Yep.

Journal Entry

Today is a journal entry. Therefore, I am supposed to write about my day. I will start off with yesterday evening. For cross country we ran 6 miles. It was so hard. And I had missed three practices because I couldn't go to Thursday's practice and I went camping Friday and Saturday. My legs hurt are sore, and I am starting to get sick! AWESOME! Great timing. And I cannot afford to loose anymore practices. I have to drink a lot of water today, or I will have to suffer at practice!

Career Goals

I have had many thoughts about what I would like to do when I am done with High School. But a good smile has always caught my eye, so I have thought about being a dentist or an orthodontist. This sounds like a pretty good deal to me. They make a good amount of money, and have nice work hours. I could start working around 8 and be back around 5 or 6pm. Also, I wouldn't be on call like a doctor.

We are supposed to write right about if we like sports and why... I defiantly like sports. I love watching baseball, soccer, and I don't mind football. But the sports I participate in at school are cross country, soccer, and track and field. But I love just playing sports. I can say I am not good at a lot of them but I think they are so fun!

Today we are supposed to blog about what should happen to parents that leave their children in the car on hot days. What I think should happen is maybe they should realize some common sense? Sorry but, who thinks leaving their kid in a non air conditioned car in 100+ degrees as a rational idea/thought?! I think that it shouldn't be allowed! No one has any idea how long they will be out, so the children could be in the car for hours! This could causes dehydration, and sickness. I feel like there should be a law that doesn't allow it. Just take your kid with you! Or leave them at home. Is it really that hard to think through?

Yesterday we worked on photoshop for the first time. It's pretty fun but I suck at it! Hopefully I'll get better at it..

Since it has been so hot we have to move our cross country practices to 5am. That is so early! Today was our first early morning practice, and since we wouldn't have enough time to go back home to get ready, we had to get ready at the school. It was the biggest disaster! At first the showers wouldn't even turn on, but we got the maintenance lady and she turned them on. They were so hot and they were burning every body's skin! It seriously hurt so bad. Then, they wouldn't turn off so the whole locker room started steaming like crazy. And in the middle of every body's shower the fire alarm went off. Let me just say I have had better mornings.

It's Tuesday! Today I finally remembered my head phones! yayyyy. We have a sub today named Mr. Wiley. And we are working on photoshop today! Sweet. This class isn't as long as it usually is because it is Tuesday and we had set today. Set is on Tuesday's and we have a study hour for 40 minutes.
Well I need to work on my assignment so later!

The first weekend of High School is over! Boo! My weekend was pretty good! On Friday night I had cross country at 5:30 and it was actually really easy and fun. The movie The Help came out last weekend so I saw it with my two sisters (Courtney and Maddi) and my mom on Saturday. It was so good! It was nothing compared to the book, but I was impressed on what they did with it. My sisters are going to China on Thursday for 4 monthes to teach English. One of our favorite holidays is Thanksgiving and they will be gone for it so we had "Fakesgiving" on Sunday. The food was delicious so now we have left overs! YES! I am really excited for my sisters but I am really going to miss them. Alright, that's all for today!

It is finally Friday! The first week of High School is over. I have been so tired all week! School starts too early! But so far everything has been going pretty good! I have Cross Country Monday through Friday at 5:30pm-7:30pm and 6:00am practices on Saturday's. Which sucks because I don't even get to sleep in on the weekends because I have church at 9:00am...

Yesterday we had a "haboob"! Which is really just a dust storm but whatever. We had to rush through practice so the storm wouldn't get to us while we running. Although, I really wanted it to rain while we were running because it is usually is so freaking hot!

Yesterday in Media Productions we created a blog for everyday journaling, homework, and class projects. I am supposed to write about yesterday, so here we go!

Yesterday was my third day at Deer Valley High School. Let me say I already am really liking it a lot. So much better than middle school. Seriously, that place was a joke. I really enjoy my teachers, classes, and the people in them. I already am behind in homework! Cool... My schedule got changed from the first and second day of school. At first I was in Biology with Jaeger first hour (which I liked a lot..), 4th lunch, and Women's choir 5th hour. Sorry to say, that place was not for me and my friend Tiffany. So we got switched yesterday (hooray!), and now it's all good!
